EUE ReConnect 2025 - 20 Years of Pub-Based CG Gatherings
Conference

Overview
This year marked the 20th anniversary of EUE ReConnect, one of our favorite conferences in the CG calendar. For those unfamiliar, it's a two-day gathering in Utrecht, Netherlands, where computer graphics experts from around the world meet at a pub. Yes, a pub. And that's exactly what makes it work.
TL;DR
A celebration of EUE ReConnect’s 20th anniversary, this after movie highlights a uniquely informal, pub-based two-day CG gathering in Utrecht that favors real conversations over expo formalities. The 2025 edition underscored the event’s living history and inclusive community, where veterans and first-timers, studio leads, freelancers, and juniors, connect as equals. The most meaningful moments happened between sessions, in hallway and late-night chats. Watch the after movie and consider early-bird tickets for EUE 2026.
What Makes It Different
There are no exhibition halls, no badge scanners, no booths. Just a room full of people who are deeply passionate about 3D, visualization, computer graphics, and the craft behind it. Conversations happen naturally over drinks, and by the end of the first evening you've talked to more people than you would in three days at a conventional trade show. It's the kind of event where you sit down next to someone and realize they're running a 50-person archviz studio, or they're a solo freelancer who just shipped something incredible from their home office.
A Milestone 20th Edition
The 20th edition felt like a proper milestone. There was a real sense of history in the room, with people who've been coming since the early days mixing with first-timers who heard about it through word of mouth. The talks were great, but honestly the best moments happened between sessions, in the hallway chats and late-night conversations that kept going well past the official schedule.
Why We Keep Coming Back
We've been attending and supporting EUE for a while now because it aligns with how we think community events should be. Low on formality, high on substance, and built around the people who actually do the work. It's one of the few events where everyone, from studio leads to junior artists in computer graphics and archviz, feels equally at home and equally welcome.
