EUE ReConnect is back for another edition, and once again it's shaping up to be one of the best events in the CG calendar. On June 4-5, CG professionals from around the world will gather at a pub in Utrecht, Netherlands, for two days of talks, networking, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you get this many talented people in one room.

If you haven't been before, the concept is simple: world-class speakers, an intimate setting, and a community that genuinely cares about the craft. Check out last year's after movie to get a feel for what it's like.

Our own Peter has been co-organizing EUE since last year, helping to select the speakers and shape the program. We're proud to be part of an event that brings together so many people we admire and work with every day. This year's lineup is no exception.

Talks We're Excited About

There's a lot to look forward to in the 2026 program, but here are a few talks that we think are especially worth highlighting.

Johannes König - "Quo Vadis, ArchViz?"

Johannes is an industry veteran with over 15 years of experience in archviz, having worked as a partner at bloomimages and Narrativ. His talk is a personal career journey from competition architect to partner at some of the most respected studios in the space, and how and why he's since pivoted in new directions. If you're curious about where archviz is heading as a discipline, or thinking about your own path in the industry, this one's for you.

Turpal Saytiev (Futhark Studios) - "Over-Delivering Without Getting Taken Advantage Of"

As both a studio owner and a client, Turpal has seen both sides of the working relationship. His talk challenges the common idea that over-delivering means doing more work. Instead, he'll explore how the best vendors aren't those doing more, but those creating the least friction, and how to over-deliver strategically without raising your workload while boosting client trust and repeat business.

Paul Roberts (iToo Software) - "Rule-Based Worlds: Procedural Thinking for Natural and Built Environments"

Paul is one of the people behind Forest Pack and RailClone, tools that have become a staple in just about every archviz pipeline. His talk goes beyond simple scattering and distribution, looking at how real environments are shaped by interconnected conditions like light, water, soil, altitude, and proximity. He'll show how to identify these conditions and create rules that stay editable throughout a project's life cycle, drawing on over 25 years of procedural tool development.

Štefan Lopušný (Fat Tony Studio) - "Success 102"

If you saw Fat Tony Studio's "Recipe for Success" talk three years ago, this is the sequel. Štefan is going deeper behind the curtain this time, covering what it takes to run a studio of your dreams in three steps: growing out of your shell, building a team you can rely on, and landing projects you're genuinely passionate about, every time. May contain sarcasm and memes.

Tom Grimes (Chaos) - "May You Live in Interesting Times"

Tom is the product manager for Corona at Chaos and has been part of the team for over a decade. His talk takes on the many shifts happening in creative industries right now and what they mean for us as creatives. He'll also be walking through the features in Corona 15 (which should be freshly released by then) and how this changing world has shaped what's in the latest version and what's coming next from Corona and Chaos.

Svetlin Nikolov (tyFlow Zenith) - "The Path to Zenith"

Svetlin led the development of Phoenix at Chaos and is now working on tyFlow Zenith. His talk is a month-by-month timeline of how the Zenith fire/smoke GPU solver came together, with plenty of images, videos, and technical details about fluid sims, sparse vs dense solvers, CPU vs GPU, and even some comparisons with Phoenix. Expect a few memes along the way.

More to See

Beyond these highlights, the 2026 edition also features talks from Eric de Broche des Combes (architect, designer, and Harvard professor), Pieter Van Houte with a talk on AI and creativity called "Slop, Skill & Degenerative AI," Tim Van Helsdingen on agentic tools for creative production, Eva Tucek on Rhino and digital craftsmanship, Habib Gahbiche from the Blender Institute on how feature decisions are made in Blender, Oli Kentner on reconstructing history with CGI, Dries Depoorter blending technology and art, Faruk Heplevent from The Scope on their procedural city generator Scope City 2.0, and AJ Jefferies from Moonjam on 25 years of character-driven CG work. There's something for everyone.
